Conscious Parenting & Homeschooling Resources
As a traditional birth worker and mother of two, I know that mothering is an extension of the postpartum journey shaping not only our children, but the entire family. In our communities, survival often takes precedence, yet the most transformative learning happens at home, not in school.
Public, standardized education often presents a whitewashed, demonized, rigid version of our history along with a style of learning that doesn’t align with how children naturally absorb knowledge. Growing up in this system, I saw firsthand how dedicated teachers, under-resourced and underpaid, are often asked to do the work of an entire community. I noticed the significant gaps so to address them I chose to homeschool and world-school my own children and currently work as a teacher at a preschool while pursuing my degree in (w)holistic early childhood education. My intention is to create systems that aid in providing solutions to this area of life.
